Overview
ISC (For Grades XI to XII)

Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is synonymous with high quality of education and a commitment to excellence.

In accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, the Council conducts two examinations – ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII).

For those inclined, ICSE curriculum will be offered as of medium of education up to Class X.

The subjects and textbooks will be based on the recommendations of the CISCE.

Teaching & Learning at VIS
The Academic Manifesto

Academics at VIS intend to lay a robust foundation for the children upon which to build a future of their will.

To this end, VIS will endeavour to provide the students, a holistic approach to teaching and learning.

The curricula provide opportunities to the facilitator as well as the learner to develop critical thinking, social, research and communication skills.

VIS encourages dialogues at the teacher-student, teacher-teacher and student-student levels to foster clearer communication and develop life skills.

Teachers will employ a variety of teaching strategies in the classroom. This will normally include carefully designed individual learning activities, group work and whole-class instruction.

Internal assessments are conducted for all subjects on the basis of assignments/project work, practical work and coursework.

The Indian School Certificate Examination is held after completing two years beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10) examination or its equivalent.
Registration
-
Candidates who have been awarded Pass Certificates in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with Passes in five subjects including English are eligible to register for ISC.

The school will register the students with the council in class 11 in the month of August of the academic year.
-
No candidate shall be permitted to change his/her subjects after registration in class 11.
