On July 4th & 5th, Vellore International School had the proud honour of hosting the CISCE A-Zone Athletics Meet 2025 — a grand celebration of youth, determination, and athletic excellence. Over 328 athletes from 19 schools across the region gathered on our campus, turning the fields into arenas of ambition and achievement.

The meet was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Mrs. Sujatha, Principal of The Grove School, Chennai and CISCE TN & Pondicherry A-Zone Sports Coordinator, along with our Principal, Mr. K. Prabhakaran, whose encouragement set a motivating tone for the two-day sporting event.

From the first whistle to the final medal, the atmosphere was charged with passion, discipline, and true sportsmanship. Events across the track and field witnessed students pushing their limits — sprinting with power, leaping with purpose, and competing with grace. Every stride taken and every finish crossed reflected the spirit of perseverance, teamwork, and the will to rise.

But beyond the medals and podium finishes, what stood out most was the camaraderie, mutual respect, and unspoken bond formed between athletes from different schools — a true embodiment of holistic education and character-building through sport.

At VIS, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals, and the Athletics Meet was a powerful reminder that sports are not just about competition — they’re about connection, confidence, and growth.
