The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2024-25 at Vellore International School (VIS), Chennai, was held with great pomp and dignity on the 29th of June 2024. The ceremony unfolded in the magnificent Open-Air Theatre, emanating an air of anticipation and excitement. The stage, adorned with the school’s emblem, created an ambiance of reverence and commitment to the institution’s values.
The event commenced with the singing of the Tamizh Thaivazhthu, followed by the school song and an opening speech that set the tone for the occasion. Our Chairman, Dr. G.V. Selvam, who was also the chief guest, addressed the gathering amidst a thunderous response. He shared numerous insightful and inspiring points with the students:

The chairman congratulated all the 12 new leaders, emphasizing the importance of these values and skills in their journey ahead. The newly appointed student council members are as follows:

The student council was then inducted by the Chairman and the Principal through a formal oath-taking ceremony, followed by the handover of badges and flags of the respective positions and houses. The ceremony concluded with the singing of the national anthem, filling the hearts of all present with pride and unity.
